KADAUSA.ORG is back to KADA's Main Website!
Happy New Year, everyone!
The year 2020 has been an unprecedented year that will be forever etched on our memory. Korean-Americans, well-known for our resilience and with KADA’s more than 50-year history, together, we will be able to successfully overcome the multitudes of challenges that our practices are facing with the COVID-19 Pandemic!
Nationally and locally, the administration of COVID-19 vaccines to healthcare providers, including dentists and staff, has begun as the year 2021 emerged out of the gloom of last year. When most, if not, all of us have been vaccinated, we look forward to having many exciting programs for the members of KADA. Of course, we will strictly follow the restrictions and guidelines provided by CDC and local health departments. KADA will also serve as a center for resources for our member dentists when it comes to any new guidelines or recommendations for healthcare providers, especially dentists, as we fight against this pandemic.
Some of the initial programs we are considering for the members are free CPR courses and webinar-based continuing education courses in the next few months.
Furthermore, KADA has been in intimate contact with other local, state, national and international dental societies, including ADA, which has recognized KADA as one of the official ethnic dental societies in the U.S.A. These alliances and involvement will enable KADA to be involved with the mainstream dental community as well as having access to a wide array of activities and events for our members.
As a president, I am committed to bringing our community together from the older generations of Korean immigrant dentists to young dentists and younger Korean dental students. Together we can achieve to not only serve us but our Korean-American community, our local community, and our country as proud Korean-American dentists. I am truly humbled by our predecessors for their pioneering courage and excited about the innovative ideas of our younger and future colleagues.
Let’s all work together to make 2021 a turning point for oral health and our society!
Thank you very much & stay safe.
Sincerely,
David H. Kim, M.D., D.D.S.
President, Korean American Dental Association
American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
American Board of Aesthetic Medicine
