Violinist Cho Gahyun
The Korean-born violinist Ga Hyun Cho came to international prominence upon winning First Prize in the Washington International Competition For Strings in 2009. Most recently, Ms. Cho was the First Prize Winner of the 2012 Max Rostal International Competition in Berlin. She began playing the violin at age four, and made her debut with the Korean Symphony Orchestra just six years later. In the intervening years, Ms. Cho has performed as a soloist with prominent orchestras in Europe and Asia. She is currently a Starling Fellow at the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music, under the tutelage of Midori Goto.

Pianist Somang Jeagl graduated with the highest honors from Seoul National University for both his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees. He is currently pursuing a Artist Diploma at the USC Thomton School of Music under Professor Kevin Fitz Gerald. He has been a prize-winner in numerous competitions including 1st Prize in the Asia-Pacific Young Artist Piano Competition and Dong-A Music Competition. He was a 2nd Prize winner in the KIMF Piano Competition and received the Grand Prize from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Korea. Mr. Jeagal has performed in the Salzburg Schloss Konzerte in Austria. He toured Australia as part of the KUMHO Virtuosi Trio Concert Series. |
